Accelerated Motors LLC — reported by WBRZ under the name Accelerated Auto Motors — advertised recreational vehicles on Facebook and presented itself as a Baton Rouge, Louisiana dealership. The Better Business Bureau of South Central Louisiana found the listed headquarters was a parking lot with no RVs in sight, and that images on the company's website were AI-altered versions of photographs of that real address: the BBB says artificial intelligence was used to improve the building facade and add RVs, and the altered imagery carried a misspelled version of the business name. According to the BBB, buyers were asked to pay by bank wire or direct transfer before receiving the vehicle, were told the vehicles could not be inspected before payment, and were told the RV would be shipped after payment. The BBB confirmed the operation is not licensed by the Louisiana Motor Vehicle Commission, which licences RV dealers in the state, and referred the case to the FTC, the state attorney general's office and the FBI. Consumers from outside Louisiana contacted the BBB after seeing the ads online.
